Terms of Service

1. The service

CVEmber (cvember.com), operated by Rajesh Kumar, lets you build, edit, score, tailor to a job and download resumes and generate related documents such as resignation letters, with help from AI. By using the site you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Give accurate sign-up details and keep your password and verification codes to yourself.
• You’re responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly if you think it has been misused.

3. Free and paid features

• Building, editing, previewing, restyling and scoring resumes are free. Tailoring is free for your first 5 tailorings: 5 per account, for life, not per day. With an active pass you can tailor up to 20 a day; that day resets at midnight Indian time. Failed attempts don’t count.
• Download access. To download, print or email a resume you buy download access for a period. Every purchase is a one-time payment, never renews, and covers all the resumes and tailored versions on your account:
  • Starter (): 30 days from purchase.
  • Pro (): 90 days from purchase.
  • Pro Lifetime (): no expiry date: access for as long as CVEmber operates, under the same fair-use limits as every plan.
• If you buy download access while some is still running, the new time starts when the current time ends. Buying Lifetime replaces any timed access. When it ends you keep every file you downloaded, and choose how long you need it to download again.
• Fair use. Every account, on every plan, has daily and monthly limits on AI requests and ChatGPT and Claude requests, set well above normal use (Pro and Pro Lifetime: 400 AI requests a day and 6,000 a month; 500 ChatGPT and Claude requests a day and 6,000 a month). They protect the service from automated or abusive use. When one is reached you see a message saying when it resets; your resumes, editing and downloads keep working. We may change these limits with notice on this page.
• Earlier purchases. A single resume unlock bought before passes existed stays unlocked for good. Single resume unlocks are no longer sold.
• Refunds. A full refund within 7 days of purchase if nothing has been downloaded, printed or emailed with that pass. See the Refund Policy.
• Prices are shown before you pay: in Indian rupees in India and in US dollars outside India. The price shown is the final amount payable and includes any applicable taxes; nothing is added at checkout.
• Payments are processed by Razorpay or PhonePe in India and by PayPal outside India, and are subject to their terms.

4. Delivery

Everything we sell is digital. Access is granted in your account as soon as the payment is confirmed — normally within seconds. Nothing is shipped.

6. Your content

• You own the content you create or upload. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service.
• You’re responsible for your content being accurate and lawful, and for having the right to include any third party’s personal details (for example, a referee’s contact information).

7. AI-generated content

AI features can make mistakes: they may misread a document, leave something out, or phrase something inaccurately.Our AI never changes your employers, dates, degrees or certifications, and never invents facts outright. In Stretch, it may suggest bolder wording and bounded, clearly marked numbers, and nothing is added until you confirm it. You choose what to keep, and you are responsible for the accuracy of the resume you send to an employer, so only keep what is true and what you can speak to. Review everything before you use it. We don’t guarantee interviews, job offers or any outcome from using the service.

8. AI assistants, connected apps and the API

• You can connect an AI assistant, such as ChatGPT or Claude, to your account through our MCP server, or use your own scripts with an API key. Each acts only on your account and only within the permission you gave it (read-only, or allowed to edit), and you can disconnect it or revoke the key at any time in Settings.
• What a connected app or key does on your account is treated as done by you. Keep API keys secret: anyone holding one can use it until you revoke it.
• An assistant decides what to ask CVEmber from what you tell it, and it can misunderstand you. Section 7 applies to what it writes as it does to our own AI features: check the result before you use it. Its provider’s own terms and privacy policy apply to how you use the assistant.
• No connected app can buy anything for you, send your resume to anyone, or download a PDF your plan doesn’t cover. Usage limits apply per key and per app and are listed in the developer docs. Unusual activity can pause or limit a connection automatically; write to us and a person will look at it.

9. Acceptable use

Don’t:

• break the law, impersonate anyone, or create misleading or fraudulent documents;
• attempt to bypass payments, usage limits, security or bot protection;
• scrape, overload, reverse-engineer or resell the service or its templates;
• upload malware or content you don’t have the right to use.

We may suspend or close accounts that do.

10. Our intellectual property

The site, software and template designs belong to us. You may use resumes and letters you create — including our template designs within them — for your own job applications and career purposes.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service available but can’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue a paid feature you’ve bought and not yet been able to use, we’ll refund it.

12. Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from Account and security in Settings. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as 6, 13 and 14) continue to apply.

13. Liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is”, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost job opportunities. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru have jurisdiction over any dispute.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we’ll give notice by email or in the app before they apply; continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept them.
