The main difference: renewal
Zety's pricing page, as shown to a visitor in India on 30 Sep 2026, offers a Pro Package with a 14-day trial for ₹195.00 that, in its words, "auto-renews at ₹445.00 billed every 4 weeks", and an Annual Package of ₹1,195.00 paid at once that "auto-renews each year". Both say you can cancel anytime.
CVEmber has no renewal to manage. You pay once for a month, three months or no end date, and nothing is charged again. If you only need a resume for a short job search, it is worth setting a reminder to cancel with any renewing plan.
What you get on each
Zety lists 18+ resume templates, a cover letter builder with templates, a resume check, and job matches. Its free Basic Package lets you build and edit, but downloads are TXT only; PDF and Word come with a paid plan.
CVEmber is focused on the resume. Building, editing, previewing, scoring and tailoring are free, and the preview is exactly the file you download. Its free Cover Letter Maker writes a plain letter you can copy or download as a PDF; Zety's cover letter builder has matching templates. Each tailored resume is saved as its own version beside your original, and changes can be undone.
ATS approach
Zety describes a resume check that finds common issues. CVEmber publishes how its layouts were tested: each of the 30 templates was read by commercial resume parsers, field by field (name, email, each job's title, company and dates, schools, skills), and layouts were changed where a parser misread them.
