CVEmber

CVEmber MCP

Tailor your resume without leaving the chat.

Connect CVEmber to your AI assistant once. Then paste a job ad and say “update my resume for this”. Your assistant does the writing; CVEmber keeps your original safe, checks every fact, scores the result and makes the PDF.

Try asking

Say it the way you’d say it to a friend.

The moments of a job hunt, one line each. Your AI does the asking; CVEmber does the work.
  • Tailor my resume for this LinkedIn job.

A new version for this job, next to your original. It asks before adding anything new.

  • Am I a good fit? What am I missing?

Your resume score, and which of the job’s keywords you have and don’t.

  • Here’s my old resume or LinkedIn PDF. Make it ATS-friendly.

Your PDF becomes a resume you can edit, checked against the file.

  • Make a version for each of these 3 jobs.

One tailored version per job, each labelled with the company.

  • Make it shorter and sharper.

Shorter wording and any template or colour, just by asking.

  • Which version did I make for Northwind?

Every version is kept by role and company, ready before the interview.

  • Undo that last change.

Anything your AI changed can be put back, from the chat or on cvember.com.

  • Send me the PDF.

A download link on cvember.com, ready to apply with. Downloading needs a one-time payment.

Any other MCP assistant

CVEmber speaks MCP, the open standard AI apps use to connect to other services. Add https://mcp.cvember.com/mcp as a remote server and sign in when asked. For your own scripts there are API keys and a REST API: developer docs.

What it can do

10 tools, nothing hidden.

Everything your assistant can ask CVEmber to do. Tools marked “reads” never change anything; “writes” tools need the read-and-edit choice.
  • get_accountreads

Your plan, whether downloads are on, and what this connection may do.

  • list_resumesreads

Your resumes and their tailored versions, newest first, with scores.

  • get_resumereads

The full content of one resume.

  • tailor_resumewrites

Saves a version for one job next to the original. The original is unchanged.

  • update_resumewrites

Edits sections, title, template or colour of a resume you name.

  • create_resumewrites

Saves a resume or LinkedIn profile you attach as a new resume.

  • score_resumereads

The ATS score out of 100, the same one the editor shows.

  • export_pdfreads

A 15-minute link to download the PDF on cvember.com (needs download access).

  • restore_versionwrites

Undoes a change made through the connection.

  • list_templatesreads

The templates and colours to choose from.

How it signs in

Standard OAuth sign-in: your assistant opens a CVEmber page, you sign in there and approve it. Your assistant never sees your CVEmber password, and you choose read-only or read and edit. Your own scripts use API keys instead.

Which plan it needs

Pro or Pro Lifetime. On any other plan the connection only answers that a Pro plan is needed. See plans.

Your data

What CVEmber keeps is covered by our privacy policy and terms; how we protect it is on security & privacy.

What an assistant can never do

  • Tailor over your original. Each job gets its own version; your original changes only when you ask.
  • Add an employer, degree or date you didn’t ask for. Those are refused; other factual changes are listed for you to check.
  • Buy anything, or send your resume to anyone.
  • See anyone else’s resumes. It reaches only the account you signed in with.

Every change can be undone for 30 days. You can pause or disconnect an assistant at any time in Settings. How we protect your account

FAQ

Your questions, answered.

Still unsure? Send us a message — a real person replies.

Do I need a CVEmber account?

Yes. Your AI app signs in to it with your permission, and the resumes it makes are saved there, next to the ones you build on the website.

Does it cost anything?

CVEmber MCP is included with Pro and Pro Lifetime. Without one of those, the connection answers with a note saying so and does nothing else. Your AI app can’t buy a plan for you; you choose one on the pricing page.

Will it change my original resume?

Not when it tailors: each job gets a new version beside the original. It edits the original only when you ask it to, and anything it changes can be undone.

Can I let it read but not edit?

Yes. When you connect, choose read-only. You can change your mind by disconnecting and connecting again.

What does my AI assistant see?

What you type or attach in the chat, and what CVEmber returns to it: the resumes you ask about, scores and download links. That is handled under your assistant provider’s privacy policy. Our privacy policy covers what we keep.

How do I disconnect?

In CVEmber, Settings → Connected apps → Disconnect. It stops at once. You can also remove the connector in your assistant.
