This MyPerfectResume review covers what MyPerfectResume offers, how its free access and Premium trial work, and whether Premium is worth paying for. It is a resume and cover letter builder with content suggestions and a feedback tool called ResumeCheck. We read its pricing page on 18 October 2026.

We did not build a resume inside the app for this review, so the details are what its pricing page says, with the date we read it.

Key takeaways

  • Free Basic Access gives you the builder and unlimited downloads in TXT format.
  • Premium lists PDF and Word downloads, 40+ templates, ResumeCheck feedback and career tools.
  • The 14-day Premium Access costs $2.95 CAD, then auto-renews at $34.95 CAD billed every 4 weeks.
  • 1-Year Premium Access is $119.40 CAD up-front ($9.95 CAD a month) and automatically renews each year.
  • The page offers a refund if you ask within 14 days of subscribing to Premium.
  • It suits people who want content suggestions in a guided builder. It is a weaker fit if you want a plan that does not renew.

What MyPerfectResume is

MyPerfectResume is a browser builder for resumes and matching cover letters, with step-by-step prompts and content suggestions the page describes as expert-written and tailored to your industry and role.

How MyPerfectResume works

You build a targeted resume with step-by-step prompts and pick from suggested wording for your role. A cover letter generator pairs a letter with the resume.

We did not run the builder, so we cannot say how useful the suggestions are. Pre-written lines are the same ones other people can choose, so edit them until they describe your own work.

MyPerfectResume's main features

These are the features the pricing page lists, with what it leaves out.

Content suggestions and templates

The page lists expert-written content suggestions and 40+ customisable templates built by professional graphic designers. Premium lists unlimited PDF and Word downloads, while free access lists TXT downloads.

ResumeCheck feedback

ResumeCheck is described as scanning your resume for 30+ issues and giving suggestions to improve it. The page does not list the issues or say how the check was tested.

Career tools

Premium also lists an online professional profile called Bold.pro, interview preparation tools and career development webinars. We did not use them, and the page gives no detail on content or volume.

MyPerfectResume pricing and refunds

MyPerfectResume has free access and two Premium plans. Prices are in Canadian dollars as shown on its pricing page on 18 October 2026.

Renewals and refunds: the 14-day plan renews at $34.95 CAD every four weeks, roughly $455 CAD over a year, against $119.40 CAD for the annual plan. The page offers a refund if you request it within 14 days of subscribing to Premium.

How to read MyPerfectResume's headline figures

The page headlines a "30% higher chance of getting a job" and a "42% higher response rate from recruiters", each marked with a footnote symbol. We did not capture the footnote text when we read the page, so we cannot say how the figures were measured. We read them as marketing, not as a result you should expect.

The page also carries customer testimonials and a review count. We have not reproduced the testimonials, and we cannot check them.

Pros and cons of MyPerfectResume

Pros

  • A free plan to build and edit before paying
  • Ready-made content suggestions for your role, per the page
  • A refund window of 14 days
  • Cover letter, ResumeCheck and career tools on Premium

Cons

  • The trial and the annual plan both auto-renew
  • Free downloads are TXT only
  • The success figures come with footnotes and no published method
  • ResumeCheck's issues and method are not listed

Who MyPerfectResume is best for

A good fit if

  • You want suggested wording for your role in a guided builder
  • You will cancel or switch plan before the trial renews
  • You want a cover letter and career tools in one place

A weaker fit if

  • You want one payment that never renews
  • You want a PDF without paying
  • You want published parser test results

MyPerfectResume review: final verdict

MyPerfectResume is a guided builder with ready-made wording and a cover letter. If you want that help and will manage the renewal, a short Premium trial carries the 14-day refund the page lists.

Weigh the renewal and the claims. The trial renews every four weeks at a much higher price, the free plan gives you plain text only, and the figures at the top come with a footnote and no visible method. If you want one payment and published parser tests, CVEmber works differently.
