What Kickresume's free plan allows, what Premium adds, and what the AI tools claim. We read its pricing page in October 2026.

This Kickresume review covers what Kickresume offers, how its free plan and Premium plans differ, and whether Premium is worth paying for. Kickresume is a resume and cover letter builder with an AI writer and an ATS checker. We read its pricing page on 18 October 2026.

We did not build a resume inside the app for this review, so the details come from the pricing page, quoted with the date we read it. Where something is Kickresume's own claim, we mark it as that.

Key takeaways

  • Kickresume's free plan has 4 resume templates, 4 matching cover letters and unlimited downloads.
  • Premium is $9 for one month, $18 for three months or $48 for a year, each shown as paid once.
  • Premium adds 40+ templates, an AI writer, an ATS resume checker, a Career Map, LinkedIn and PDF import and a mobile app.
  • Every paid plan lists a 14-day money back guarantee. The page does not say whether a plan renews.
  • Students with ISIC, ITIC or UNiDAYS proof can get Premium free, according to the page.
  • Kickresume suits people who want AI drafting and many templates. It is a weaker fit if you want to confirm renewal terms before paying.

What Kickresume is

Kickresume is a browser builder for resumes, cover letters and small personal websites, with an AI writer that can draft a resume from a job title and a job ad. It is based in the European Union, which the page highlights for data protection.

How Kickresume works

You pick a template, fill in sections or import from LinkedIn or a PDF, and customise colours and fonts. The page says the AI writer can generate an entire resume once you give it a job title and the job ad you are replying to.

We did not run the writer, so we cannot say how good its drafts are. An AI draft from a job ad can include wording you cannot back up, so check every line against your real work.

Kickresume's main features

These are the features the pricing page lists, with what it does not tell you.

The free plan

Free lists 4 basic resume templates, 4 matching cover letter templates, 1 basic website template, 20,000 pre-written phrases, 1,500+ resume examples and unlimited downloads. The page's FAQ says you can download for free as long as you stay with the free customisation options.

Templates, AI writer and Career Map

Premium lists 40+ resume templates and 40+ cover letter templates, all colours and typefaces, an AI writer for resumes and cover letters, and a Career Map that scans your resume and suggests career paths.

ATS resume checker

The page says the ATS resume checker helps you optimise for applicant tracking systems and shows how your resume measures up against the best successful resumes in Kickresume's database.

Kickresume pricing and refunds

Kickresume has a free plan and three Premium lengths. Prices are in US dollars as shown on its pricing page on 18 October 2026.

Kickresume plans and prices
PlanPriceWhat you get
Free$04 resume templates, 4 matching cover letters, 1 website template, 20,000 phrases, 1,500+ examples, unlimited downloads

Three Months$18 ($6 a month)Everything in One Month, plus $27 in Premium vouchers for friends
One Year$48 ($4 a month)Everything in One Month, plus $45 in Premium vouchers for friends

Refunds and renewal: every paid plan lists a 14-day money back guarantee, and each is shown as paid once. The page does not say whether a plan renews at the end of its term, so check the checkout screen before you pay. Students with ISIC, ITIC or UNiDAYS proof can get Premium free.

What Kickresume's claims rest on

The page speaks of career tools "approved by recruiters" and of ATS-friendly templates designed by recruiters and typographers. It also says 70,455 happy customers. None of these comes with a method or a named test.

Its FAQ recommends the yearly plan because most people need three to six months to find a job. If your search will be shorter, the $9 month may be enough.

Pros and cons of Kickresume

Pros

  • A free plan with unlimited downloads
  • 40+ templates and an AI writer on Premium
  • A 14-day money back guarantee on every paid plan
  • Free Premium for verified students
  • LinkedIn and PDF import

Cons

  • Free design choices are limited, including 2 fonts against 26
  • The AI writer's drafts can include wording you must verify
  • The ATS checker's benchmark is Kickresume's own and unpublished
  • The page does not say whether plans renew

Who Kickresume is best for

A good fit if

  • You want an AI draft to start from and will check every line
  • You want a lot of template choice
  • You are a verified student

A weaker fit if

  • You need confirmed renewal terms before you pay
  • You want published test results for how parsers read the layouts
  • You only want a plain resume and no extras

Kickresume review: final verdict

Kickresume is a feature-rich builder with a free plan. If you want many templates and AI help, and you will read what the AI writes, Premium for one month comes with the 14-day guarantee the page lists.

Read its claims with care. The ATS benchmark and recruiter lines come without a method, and the renewal terms are not on the pricing page. If you want published parser tests and one payment that never renews, the comparison below shows where we differ.
