What Zety is
Zety is a browser-based builder. You can start from scratch or import an existing resume, pick a template, and fill in sections. It also offers a cover letter builder with matching templates, and a job matching feature that suggests roles based on your resume.
Zety calls its builder "award-winning" and its pricing page says its goal is "To get you hired". Those are its own words, and the page does not name an award or explain how hiring results are measured.
How Zety works
The two main entry points on Zety's pages are Create Your Resume and Import Existing Resume. After that you work through the resume section by section, and the builder offers suggested wording as you go. Zety's home page shows a resume objective with an Improve with AI button and a Generate button.
We did not run the builder ourselves, so we cannot say how good its suggestions are. As with any AI wording, read each line and keep only what is true for you.

The resume builder and templates
Zety lists 18+ resume templates and says the builder lets you customise and edit your resume for different jobs, with unlimited downloads, prints and edits.
The cover letter builder
Zety's pricing page says you can "get a matching cover letter in seconds" and lists cover letter templates to match your resume. Both are on the free plan's feature list, and the same TXT-only download limit applies there.
Resume check
The pricing page describes the resume check as tools that can identify 30+ issues. It does not list the issues or say how the check was tested, and it does not publish how its layouts perform in applicant tracking software.
Instant job matches and Bold.Pro
Zety lists recommended jobs matched to your resume, and a networking profile called Bold.Pro, described as a way to be found by recruiters. We did not use either, and the page gives no figures for how many roles or recruiters are involved.
Zety pricing, trial and renewals
Zety has a free plan and two paid plans. The prices below are what its pricing page showed to a visitor in India on 18 October 2026, in Indian rupees. Prices can differ by country, so check yours on Zety's page.

Renewals: both paid plans renew automatically. The Pro trial becomes ₹445 every four weeks, which works out to roughly ₹480 a month if you keep it, so set a reminder if you only need a resume for a short job search. We did not find refund wording on the pricing page, so check Zety's terms before you pay.
What Zety's numbers do and do not show
Zety's pricing page says "30% higher chance of getting a job" and "40% higher response rate from recruiters". A footnote says the results come from 1,000 respondents, of whom 287 used a resume building tool. Its home page shows different figures, "Land a job 30% faster" and "Get 42% more responses from recruiters", with a similar footnote.
A survey like this can show that people who used a tool report better results. It cannot show that the tool caused them, and it says nothing about how an employer's software will treat your file. We read these as marketing, not as a result you should expect.

Zety review: final verdict
Zety is a straightforward builder that bundles a resume, cover letter, check and job matches. If you want all of that in one place and you will manage the renewal, it is worth looking at on the free plan.
Read its numbers and renewals with care. The results on its pricing page come from a survey, the paid plans renew until you cancel, and the free plan gives you a plain text file only. If you want one payment that never renews, the comparison below shows where we differ.
