This Teal review covers what Teal gives you free, what Teal+ adds, and whether it is worth paying for. Teal is a job search toolkit with a resume builder, a job tracker and AI writing tools. We read its pricing page on 18 October 2026.

We did not use the app for this review, so the details come from its pricing page, quoted with the date we read it.

Key takeaways

  • Teal is a job search suite first: resume builder, job application tracker, AI tools and LinkedIn tools.
  • The free plan has unlimited resumes and job tracking, with limits on templates, keyword matching, analysis and AI credits.
  • Teal+ is $13 every 7 days, $29 every 30 days or $79 every 90 days.
  • Free AI use is counted in credits: 10 for resume bullets and 2 each for a summary and a cover letter.
  • Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and refunds depend on your plan's eligibility timeframe.
  • Teal suits people who run a long search and want one place for tracking and writing. It is a weaker fit for a quick one-off resume.

What Teal is, beyond the resume builder

Teal pairs an AI resume builder with a job application tracker, an interview tracker, a networking tool and LinkedIn helpers. The resume builder is one part of a wider job search workspace.

How Teal works

You attach the job you want, and Teal highlights keywords from the job description to build a tailored resume. It also gives real-time feedback on structure, format and content as you edit.

We did not run these features, so we cannot say how accurate the keyword matching or the feedback is. A match score tells you how closely your words follow an advert, not whether an employer will choose you.

Teal's main features

These are the features the pricing page lists, with the limits on the free plan.

Resume builder, templates and design

Free has unlimited resumes, 10 templates and basic design settings. Teal+ lists unlimited templates and advanced design settings, with the option to keep a tailored version for each job.

Keyword matching and analysis

Free shows the top 5 keywords from a job description and basic analysis in the builder. Teal+ unlocks all keywords with a match score and unlimited analysis.

AI writing credits

Free gives 10 credits for resume bullets and 2 credits each for a professional summary and a cover letter. Teal+ lists these as unlimited. AI wording is a draft, so check every claim.

Tracking and extras

Job tracking is unlimited on both. Teal also lists email templates for each job stage, a networking CRM, a LinkedIn profile review and a LinkedIn summary generator.

Teal pricing, billing and cancelling

Teal has a free plan and Teal+ with three billing periods. Prices are in US dollars as shown on its pricing page on 18 October 2026.

Teal+ quarterly$79 every 90 daysThe same Teal+ features, shown as about $0.87 a day

Billing: the page says you can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time, and that cancelling takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Refund requests go to Teal's support and are only considered inside your plan's eligibility timeframe, so check it for the plan you pick.

What Teal says about results

The page says job seekers who use Teal get out applications faster and land more interviews. It gives no figure or study for that, and its testimonials are individual users' words.

The cancellation wording is explicit: cancel in account settings, the cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period, and Teal says it cannot be held responsible if a member fails to cancel a recurring subscription.

Pros and cons of Teal

Pros

  • A generous free plan with unlimited resumes and job tracking
  • A job tracker, resume builder and LinkedIn tools in one place
  • A tailored resume per job through keyword matching
  • No credit card needed to start

Cons

  • Free AI use is capped by credits, as low as 2 for a cover letter
  • Teal+ is billed every 7, 30 or 90 days and recurs
  • Free templates and design settings are limited
  • The interview and success claims come without published data

Who Teal is best for

A good fit if

  • You run a longer search and want to track every application
  • You tailor your resume to each job description
  • You want to start without a card

A weaker fit if

  • You want one resume and nothing else
  • You want a payment that does not recur
  • You want unlimited AI without paying

Teal review: final verdict

Teal is a job search workspace with a resume builder inside it. If you apply to many roles and want to track them and tailor each resume, the free plan is a good place to start and Teal+ is there when you hit the limits.

Watch the billing period and the caps. Teal+ recurs every 7, 30 or 90 days, free AI runs out fast, and the outcome claims have no data. If you want a resume builder with one payment that never renews, CVEmber works differently.
