Dear Hiring Manager,
I am applying for the Junior Electrician post at Surat Smart Homes, which I saw on Apna. I completed my ITI in the Electrician trade (NCVT) in 2025 with 74%, and have just finished a one-year apprenticeship with an electrical contractor.
At Tapi Electricals I wired more than 40 flats across three residential projects, from conduit and pulling wires to fixing switches and sockets. I helped fix 12 distribution boards and, under supervision, traced and cleared more than 50 faults, mostly loose neutrals and tripping MCBs. My supervisor taught me to test before touching, every time, and I still carry my own tester.
I have completed a workplace electrical safety training, and I use a multimeter, megger and clamp meter. I can read simple wiring drawings and mark out conduit runs on a wall before the mason starts chasing it.
I can join immediately and work on any of your sites in Surat. Thank you for considering my application.
Sincerely,
Tyler Brandt

Dear Hiring Manager,
I would like to apply for the Maintenance Electrician post at Punjab Spinning Mills. I have five years of experience as an industrial electrician, the last four in a textile unit in Ludhiana, and I hold a Punjab wireman licence.
At Sutlej Textiles I maintain 120 motors and 18 control panels across two shifts and attend more than 25 breakdown calls a month. Most breakdowns were coming from the same few motors, so I set up a weekly preventive checklist for bearings, terminals and starters; breakdown downtime has fallen by 30% since. I work with DOL and star-delta starters, VFDs and the DG changeover.
Before that I was an electrician helper at Gill Electrical Works, where I helped rewind and fit 40 motors and installed lighting for six commercial sites.
Your mill runs the same kind of machines I maintain every day. My notice period is 15 days, and I am comfortable with rotating shifts.
Sincerely,
Ramon Esquivel
Copy either letter, then change every detail to your own: the company, the job title, your numbers. Pair it with a matching electrician resume and the skills electrician job adverts ask for. The layout, header and greeting are the same for every job: see how to write a cover letter.

Electrician cover letter introduction
Name the job, where you saw it and your strongest fact in the first two lines. Two openings that work:
- I maintain 120 motors and 18 panels in a textile unit and cut breakdown downtime by 30%; I am applying for your Maintenance Electrician post.
- I am an NCVT-certified ITI electrician who wired 40+ flats during a one-year apprenticeship, and I would like to apply for your Junior Electrician post.
What to write in the body
One or two paragraphs that prove you can do the job the advert describes. For an electrician, the body should also:
- Give numbers: flats wired, motors maintained, breakdowns attended, downtime cut.
- State your ITI trade, licence (wireman or supervisor) and safety training.
How to close an electrician cover letter
Close by confirming shifts or site locations you can work at, your joining date, and that your ITI certificate and licence are ready to show. Offer a practical test.

- Not saying whether you do domestic, commercial or industrial work.
