FAQ
Store Manager resume questions, answered.
Still unsure? Send us a message — a real person replies.
What skills matter most for a retail store manager?
Sales target delivery, inventory and shrink control, scheduling, cash handling and a POS or retail ERP, plus coaching a team. Name the software the post names, and give one number for each of the two or three skills the job stresses most.
Should I include the store's sales figures?
Yes, as your own store's numbers: monthly or annual sales, growth percent and target achievement. They show scale better than any adjective. If the exact figure is confidential, give a range or a growth percent instead.
How does an assistant store manager's resume differ from a store manager's?
An assistant's version shows shift, scheduling, cash and training tasks. A store manager's version shows ownership of the P&L, hiring, targets and shrink for the whole store. Show the step up in scale as you move from one job to the next.
