Dear Hiring Manager,

I am applying for the Digital Marketing Associate position at Koregaon Creative Studio, which I found on your careers page. I completed my MBA in Marketing at Savitribai Phule Pune University this year, and spent four months as the only marketer for a neighbourhood cafe.

At Baner Brew Cafe I ran Meta ads on a ₹15,000 monthly budget and grew the Instagram account from 1,800 to 5,000 followers. The cafe wanted table bookings, not likes, so I switched the ads to a booking form with one question about group size, and cost per lead fell from ₹140 to ₹100. Every Monday I sent the owner a Looker Studio report showing bookings, spend and the week's best post.

I hold the Google Analytics and Google Ads Search certifications. I enjoy the testing side of marketing: changing one thing, waiting a week, and letting the numbers decide.

I can join immediately and would be happy to share my weekly reports and ad creatives in an interview.

Sincerely,
Tanvi Joshi

Dear Hiring Manager,

I would like to apply for the Digital Marketing Manager role at Cauvery EdTech. For four years I have run performance and SEO for education and D2C brands in Bengaluru, and I currently manage about ₹12 lakh a month in Google and Meta spend at Lalbagh Learning.

Across that spend we return 3.4 times our ad cost in course sales. When cost per lead reached ₹420, I split campaigns by course and city, rewrote landing pages for each exam, and moved retargeting to people who had watched at least half of a demo video; cost per lead is now ₹310. On the organic side, a monthly content plan built on keyword research has doubled traffic, from 40,000 to 84,000 visits a month.

I started in SEO and content at Indiranagar Organics, where I published 48 blog posts and moved 18 keywords into Google's top ten. That start means I still judge paid campaigns by what they add on top of organic, not in place of it.

Your plan to launch in Tamil Nadu and Telangana is similar to the city split I ran last year. My notice period is 60 days.

Sincerely,
Arjun Nambiar

Copy either letter, then change every detail to your own: the company, the job title, your numbers. Pair it with a matching digital marketing resume. The layout, header and greeting are the same for every job: see how to write a cover letter.

How to open the letter

Name the job, where you saw it and your strongest fact in the first two lines. Two openings that work:

  • I manage ₹12 lakh a month in ad spend at 3.4x return and doubled organic traffic to 84,000 visits a month; I am applying for your Digital Marketing Manager role.
  • As an MBA graduate who cut a cafe's cost per lead from ₹140 to ₹100 during my internship, I would like to join your agency as a Digital Marketing Associate.

What to write in the body

One or two paragraphs that prove you can do the job the advert describes. For a digital marketing, the body should also:

  • Show both paid and organic if you have them; employers value people who can run both.
  • Name your testing method and the tools you report with.

How to close the letter

Close with a specific offer, such as three quick ideas for their ads or site after looking at them, and your notice period or joining date. Keep it short; marketers are judged on how well they get to the point.

Writing it with no experience

  • Market something real: a family shop, a college fest, a friend's small business or your own blog, and track the numbers.
  • Earn the free Google Ads, Analytics and Meta certificates.
  • For an internship letter, say what you want to learn and the hours you can give.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Only vanity metrics (likes, followers) with no leads, bookings or sales.
  • Buzzwords like "growth hacker" or "guru".
  • No link to real work.
