Retail Resume Examples & Format
Retail workers sell goods to the public in stores: they greet and help customers on the sales floor, ring up purchases, restock and tidy displays, handle returns, and keep the store clean and secure. A retail resume should prove skills such as point-of-sale (POS) systems, cash handling, and returns and exchanges with numbers from your own work. Below are three samples, entry-level to senior, with summaries, bullets and skills.

What should I put on a retail resume with no experience?
Use school, volunteering, seasonal or part-time work, and anything with customers or cash, such as a fundraiser or a family shop. Give a number, such as customers helped or sales rung up, and state your availability for evenings and weekends.
How do I write a retail job description for a resume?
Write short bullets that start with a verb and end with a result: customers helped per shift, sales or add-on rate, register accuracy, stock counted and training given. Use the store type and brand names the posting uses so the match is clear.
Should a retail resume have a summary?
Yes, two or three lines. Say the kind of store, how many years or seasons you have, your strongest result and your availability. A summary with a number, such as add-on sales or shrink, is more useful than a list of adjectives.
