What does a warehouse manager do?
Warehouse managers work in distribution centers of consumer goods, e-commerce, food and pharma companies, and in third-party logistics (3PL) providers, where they own safety, labor cost, service levels and the warehouse management system. This differs from a warehouse supervisor, who runs one shift: the manager owns the site, the budget and the client.

FAQ
Warehouse Manager resume questions, answered.
Still unsure? Send us a message — a real person replies.
What should examples for a warehouse manager emphasize?
Site size, staff, daily volume, the WMS you used and results such as on-time shipping, inventory accuracy and cost per case. Put a number beside every role and say whether you managed one site, a shift or a region.
How is a warehouse manager different from a warehouse supervisor on a resume?
A manager owns the whole site, its budget, safety record and client service levels, while a supervisor runs one shift and its people. Show the scope you owned and avoid claiming budget or contract work that sat with a manager.
Should I include 3PL experience?
Yes. 3PL work shows client reporting, multiple customers and tight service levels. Name the client sectors, the number of clients served and one service level result such as OTIF, without naming client companies under confidentiality.
