The closest Bureau of Labor Statistics profile is Logisticians, who "analyze and coordinate an organization's supply chain"; it says a bachelor's degree is typical, though some positions accept work experience instead. A resume should show shipment volume, modes, on-time rate, freight cost saved and the systems you use.

  • Track shipments and tell customers and internal teams about delays.
  • Resolve damages, shortages and freight claims.

FAQ

Logistics Coordinator resume questions, answered.

Still unsure? Send us a message — a real person replies.

Which logistics coordinator resume skills matter most?

TMS and ERP use, carrier booking and rate quotes, shipping documents, load planning, freight audit and claims, and Excel reporting, plus calm problem-solving when a load goes wrong. Put each inside a bullet with a number, such as on-time delivery up from 89% to 96%.

Do logistics coordinators need a degree?

Often, but not always. BLS says logisticians typically need a bachelor's degree, and some positions accept work experience instead. Many coordinators move up from shipping, receiving or dispatch roles, so give those jobs real numbers.

How is a transportation coordinator resume different?

A transportation coordinator focuses on carriers, routes and freight cost, while a logistics coordinator may also cover inventory moves, warehouse handoffs and export paperwork. If the posting says transportation, lead with loads booked, carrier scorecards and freight savings.

What goes on a resume for a logistics manager or logistics planner?

A logistics planner resume shows routes planned, shipments a day, on-time delivery rate and the transport software used. A resume for logistics manager roles adds team size, carrier contracts and cost savings. Lead with delivery and cost numbers, and state the modes you cover: road, air, ocean or warehouse.
