FAQ

Delivery Driver resume questions, answered.

Still unsure? Send us a message — a real person replies.

What should be in a delivery driver resume description?

Describe the vehicle, the route or area, stops per day, loads handled, payments and paperwork, and your on-time rate. BLS lists loading and unloading, talking to customers, reporting incidents to dispatch and handling receipts, so turn those tasks into lines with numbers.

Is a delivery driver resume different from a truck driver resume?

Yes. For delivery work it stresses local stops, customer contact, paperwork and loading. BLS says delivery trucks under 26,001 pounds need no commercial license, so a truck driver resume for heavier vehicles should list the license the job posting asks for.
